{Week 2} Kylie

What was a viral infection last week turned into a full blown sinus and ear infection and lets throw in tonsillitis while we are at it.  I have been on antibiotics for a few days now and feel so much better. I really do get sick when I get sick don't I.

I managed to finish off the little coin purses.  I am thinking of adding a movie ticket to these as these girls have been fantastic to my little miss.

I have also decided to go a little easy on myself and am not going to attempt to make Christmas cards this year.  I picked up these from Spotlight (thanks to the 30% off sale) and will work on getting them written up this week and am going to smile nicely at my husband and see if he will write the Christmas letter this year.

I have also cut out the PJ's for the boys.  Hoping to get those sewn up this week.

{Week One} A whole lot of nothing...

I have failed this week.  I had massive plans to get a few things ticked off of the list.

Instead I managed caring for a little boy that required carrying from room to room and LOTS of cuddles.  He was then kind enough to share his germs and his grizzles onto me and I am now tending to a sinus infection to end all infections (Que headaches, pain behind the eyes and nasal pain)

So I have spent a good part of the week in bed.  I have managed to get a little crochet done.  A few more rounds on the baby blanket that I am working on.  This is not a Christmas gift, but it does have a before Christmas deadline so thought that I would share it anyway (and makes me feel a little better that I have done something crafty this week)

This morning I woke up and in a drug induced haze started one of the little purses that I am going to make for Amelia to gift to her buddies.  These will not take long as I have managed to finish half in about 30 minutes.

Off to see what you have all been up to and blow my nose.  Until next week.

Where on earth has the year gone???
We are now 5 weeks from moving.  Have I started any Christmas preparations??? NO
Have I started packing??? NO
I have alot to do in the next few weeks.


Thanks Stacey for this great idea.  Lets hope that I can manage to get a few things made.
My aim is not to buy anything new for my Christmas makings.  I have so plenty of fabric sitting around that I really don't need to walk into a fabric store.

So, here goes nothing.  Let's see how I go.  I really wanted to make a start on it this week, but we are all down and out with the flu and sewing and concentrating are really the last thing on my mind.

The List of Christmas Crafting 2011

2 x crochet topped tea towels - Grand Mothers
3 x Flower Pins (Maybe a few more, think that these would make a good little gift to have on hand

5 x Art Journals that will be more of a writing set for Amelia to give to her friends

3 x PJ's and T-shirts for the boys
2 x dresses for the girls
1 x circle dress
1 x skirt and top
Hair Bow Holder - or something similar (all of the hair ties and bows are doing my head in)

3 x bags with personalised note on printed fabric inside

2 x crochet purses - Amelia;s year 5 buddies

That should keep me busy.  Now off to get started. Looking forward to seeing how everyone progresses and seeing what everyone else makes and of course getting too many ideas for next year.
